PROJECT COORDINATOR

Are you a seasoned Project Coordinator with a passion for excavation, shoring, and piling?

At Vallex Construction, located in North Vancouver, BC, we specialize in deep foundation and shoring services. We are proud to be at the forefront of Western Canada construction projects.

We are looking for a key player to join our dynamic and growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the estimator in the tendering process and in the preparation of estimates and tender submittals.
Assist the management of all aspects of projects, including planning, initiating, executing, and communicating.
Prepare trade contracts with the desired scope of work for Project Manager's review.
Responsible for preparation and coordination of project documentation, which includes, but is not limited to: contracts, permits, change work orders, site instructions, and safety reports….
Assist the Project Manager in maintaining accurate and up-to-date logs (drawings, vendors/subcontractors list, RFI’s...).
Assist the Project Manager in setting up and maintaining project reporting procedures: cost reports, project status reports, drawings….
Maintain daily communication with Site Superintendents and record daily activity
Establish effective on-site communications and progress reporting with subcontractors and clients.
To document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings with clients, trades, and consultants.

Skills and Experience

A technical diploma or relevant University Degree in the construction field is preferred.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in the construction, drilling/piling, shoring industry.
Able to read field drawings and plans is an asset.
Good understanding of contracts and budgets.
Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work on tight deadlines, to multitask and prioritize.

Incentive salary based on experience.

Work Location: North Vancouver office and job sites (Lower Mainland).
